Japan market historically not convincing. Who dare to gamble their hard earned money on uncertain gain? Any expert dare to invest in this region? Me? No no.................................................

Japan is unique for the following:
1. Aging population (tax issues) 2. High fiscal debt (few times GDP), but mostly held internally 3. Technologically advanced (in some sense) 4. A global reserve currency along with USD and Euro (Yen is expected to fall soon) 5. Has one (actually a few) of the most expensive cities in the world
Also, Japan does not have any more effective fiscal/monetary expansionary policies. Interest rate is at 0%, debt is all time high.
I won't go into a Japan designated fund but prefer a little exposure through a global fund. One of the reasons why i held Alliance Global Equities.
Go for companies with global footprints.
