FSM Team,

I have noticed that Current (23th Octber 2016) Top Fund listed on FSM Home page under Malaysia General Category, is Kenanga Growth Fund with its 3 years growth performance as 13.42%. However, when i searched under Fund Selector under Malaysia geograpical factor, the Top fund listed there is not Kenanga Growth Fund, it is rather Eastspring Investment Small Cap. Its performance is 17.88%. Kenanga Growth Fund is listed under forth position, not the first position. Can I know why is there a discrepancy?

Thanks for answering.

Hello Asriel,

Thank you for your enquiry.

"Top Fund listed on FSM Home page" are you referring to the section - Are Your Funds The Best in The Industry? This list is not updated, as such Eastspring Investments Small-cap Fund is not in the list. We hope to update the list in the "Are Your Funds The Best in The Industry?" section in time to come.

Thank you again.

Best regards,
FSM Team

Ohh .. no wonder. Thanks for answering.. I hope your team can do the update immediately. Otherwise we as viewers have long been misconceived that Kenenga Growth Fund has always been the top fund for 3 years performance all these while. In fact this is not true.

Hello Asriel,

One thing to note is that although both funds, Kenanga Growth Fund and Eastspring Investments Small-cap Fund are invested into Malaysia equities, Eastspring Investments Small-cap Fund focus on Malaysia small to medium companies.

As such, it is true that Kenanga Growth Fund is the top fund for a 3-year annualised performance as of 21 October 2016 in the category of Malaysia as a whole (general).

Thank you.

Best regards,
FSM Team
