The Non-Allowable Expenses for RHB Small Cap Opportunity Unit Trust is around 17% on last month Income distribution. Is it normal for equity fund has such high charges for income distribution? If this is normal case, seem like should buy fund with no income distribution

You have made a good point. It is better to buy fund with no income distribution. Because dividend distribution doesn't make any sense to UT investors. They are just cutting our "meat" to feed us. Furthermore, it takes 1 month or even more to let us have the unit distributed. I don't understand why they need such a long long time.

If you just entered the fund and met with income distribution, you thought you were lucky and celebrated unnecessary. You will see your fund dropped to red with the same rate of the income distribution. This drop will drag your fund portfolio as long as one month before they drop the unit to your account. And this can be annoying to your viewing whenever you open your account to check the performances. Least to say you are actually locked up and cannot move your fund or switch your fund away even if you see better opportunity within this waiting period.

But you can hardly find those funds that do not give distribution though... because of uneducated investors so broad, that UT investors are still looking forward to be fooled by income distribution or dividend distribution. * That's why Fund houses love to annouce income or dividend distribution.
