tcfish_HK :
Any update for 2014 return?

My wife's portfolio is about 0%.
Mine is about 5.5% in 2014.

in 2014,
i liquidated several funds, and concentrate my CPF(OA) into one basket, it was floating profit about 5% to 7%
in 2015, for the past 2 weeks, around 9% to 11%.

HI NthDimensions_SG,

Very good! But what is CPF(OA)? Is it something only in SG? Does "one basket" mean 1 fund?

Hi oracle_MY,

My wife joined in end of 2013. She is now holding the following:

Aberdeen Global - Japanese Smaller Companies Fund (USD-Hedged) A2 Acc
E Fund RMB Fixed Income Fund (RMB) Class A Dist
Fidelity Funds - China Focus Fund A-USD
Harvest Funds (Hong Kong) - Harvest China A Research Select Fund (RMB) A
Invesco Global Health Care Fund (USD) A
JPMorgan India Smaller Companies (acc) - USD
Jupiter Global Fund - Jupiter European Growth (USD Hedged) L Acc
Lyxor Epsilon Managed Futures Fund (USD) H
Man AHL Diversified Futures Ltd (USD) Tranche A
Schroder Asian Asset Income Fund (USD) A Acc

But they were quite different from what she had in the beginning of 2014. It was not bad at the beginning but not in the 2nd half. of the year. You know, it is easy to buy a good performing fund but hard to tell when is the good time to switch or sell. Just hoping to see if others have any good advice

After review your wife fund, actually 2nd half year of 2014 is very high volatile in every region, but US country, India, Japan, China and Asia pacific have not bad performance in year 2014.

most of your fund looks like is more to global fund or Europe country right?

so need to be patient if invest in unit trust fund.

for some investors, they prefer to invest in share/stock...... because earn faster than unit trust....be good choose if any.....
take care, have a nice day :)

My 2015 return is 1% as of to date.

I am hoping to just get 10% for 2015.

Any advice on the market condition now?

hello alacyl_SG,

may I know how you calculate your each annual return 10%? you base on each fund or total holding?

if your holding have good perform sure 10% is no problem for year 2015.

wish you all the best in year 2015 in investment and bring more fortune and wealth. :)

My 10% is total holding for my portfolio. And it is compounded.
Honestly it is no easy feat, at least to me, especially the second half of last year. My target is 10% every year. I see some achieving it so easily. But it was difficult, to me. To get 10% every year, I will be very happy.

CPF is something like HK's MPF
Yes, currently I only have 1 fund, and it just turned 1 year.
Currently unrealised floating profit of 14% p.a.
