Hi,

I'm very new to unit trust investment.

At the moment I'm interested on buying Cash Management Fund in Fundsupermart.com

As there is a long list of unit trust available, how do I make my choice? and how to choose my fund manager?.

Please advise.

TQ

hi,

1. you need to know which type of investor you are
2. you need to understand what kind of product that suitable for you or you desire
3. study monthly fact sheet and study their past performance chart, eg. dividend history, NAV price history etc.

Optional,
a. used recommended portfolio from FSM as your guideline
b. used annual recommended fund from FSM as your guideline
c. used winning award funds as your guideline

hope above can help.

regards

Choosing a good fund manger or good fund might a good start for new investor. However, a cautious note for you is that we are investing into market, not into a fund though. No matter how good the fund may have been performing in the past, if the market is not going doing well, all fund will go down. Therefore, know your market condition while you invest.
